Career Salary Game: Trevor Ariza
Trevor Ariza has been traded (again!), which begs the question of how much he has made in his NBA career
With Wednesday’s trade that will send him to the Miami Heat, Trevor Ariza has now been traded four times since Nov. 22. In a week’s time last November, he was traded three times. He has not suited up for the Oklahoma City Thunder this season, which made it a matter of time before he was elsewhere via a trade or a buyout.
Assuming he plays for them, the Heat will be the 10th team Ariza has suited up for. He now been traded a total of 11 times in his career.
Ariza signed a two-year, $25 million deal with the Sacramento Kings in 2019. So he’ll play out that deal over the rest of this year, his 17th NBA season. Where will that put Ariza’s career earnings?
Accounting for proration over the last two shortened seasons, and going through this season, Spotrac puts Ariza’s career earnings at $114,232,977. He entered the league as a second-round pick in 2004, so he’s quite a success story based both on longevity and what he has made in his career-two things that are tied together.
